Every season the chanel runway show is much anticipated and always delivers a spectacular collection in the most spectacular surroundings!!! Last season it was a under water white paradise this season the grand palis was transformed into a dramatic edgy and futuristic world with large crystal stones erected from the ground there was also a misty fog the scene was set as a earthy, crystal stone geometric show which left all amazed once again. Last season the collection had a lot of pastels and clean whites this season it was all about vibrant color which we love to see at chanel!! The collection was quite large so there is a lot to cover! The collection was inspired by earthy geometric rocks and crystals which was very arty and allowed for fabulous embellishments and prints. The show had a great mix of magic and reality karl lagerfield really lets a women be able to live the dream as the clothes are so wearable but yet still so unusual. The girl this season was young and cool as she always is but there are also those multi age looks which work well on 25 year old and also 45 year old! The clothes were structured with an architectural and geometric edge but there were also casual 80s like jumpers of course there was a whole lot of that fabulous chanel tweed this season on great coats classic jackets with modern young edge and sweaters. The use of vibrant color in this collection was much enjoyed it gave a fun and vibrant feel the colors were not exactly brights more rich dark but colorful tones purple was one most used so were greens and fuchsia pinks. The prints were geometric and reminded my of rocks and sculpture they had a 80s vibe also but not to 80s it was much more modern! There were great metallic and sparkling looks to finish the show that were a little glamours and again were very like crystals these looks were strong and also had a bionic women feel! There were a lot of tailored greys and sparkling silvers,metallic blues, and green tweeds also major velvet pants with great cool mix of metallic silver. The thing i loved most were certainly those coats!!! Perfect for any cool young girl who has several thousands of pounds to spend but they were so major i am totally dying for them and would kill for one in a moment i think it would look super cute with a pair of cool leather pants fabulous silhouettes and cute proenza top maybe and also fabulous accessories like a fabulous little chanel bag pack!!! The accessories were so major in this collection there were super cute mini bag packs that were velvet!!! and fabulous little velvet quilted chain bags i love that there so mini!!!! Overall another major chanel collection prefect for the cool british or Parisian girl or the more mature socialite! The collection had a interesting inspirtaion that was presented beautifully in causal and formal form DYE DYE DYE another major chanel collection which i simply adore and i totally want everything especially super cool tweed coats or velvet mini accessories!!!

MONDAY sees the return of Couture Fashion Week for spring/summer 2012, and with them comes another couture return: Atelier Versace. Donatella hasn't showcased anywhere but the red carpet since January 2004. After Versace's opener, the day sees a mix of the old and new of the couture world take to the catwalk. Two of the fashion house's newest additions; Alexis Mabille and Giambattista Valli, show on Monday; as does one of couture's institutions - Christian Dior - still with Bill Gaytten at the helm. Only his second collection since taking over as creative director, it could scarcely receive a more robust critical panning than his first, but his ready-to-wear line in October fared much better, so perhaps summer is his season.
Tuesday brings out the big guns: chanel, givenchy and giorgio armani Privé - as well as couture's "Modern Knight", Stéphane Rolland, who promises his show's bride will be a surprise worth waiting for.
Valentino and Jean Paul Gaultier promise to thrill us on Wednesday: with fun, frivolity and fabulous models . One thing is for sure: when dresses that cost more than a house are worn by the world's most beautiful women the pictures are always worth a look. I can barely contain myself with excitementt!! you can see all the magic unfold here quite a big task for the first few days of my blog but i think i will survive and show beautiful gowns and parisenne street style. also the couture shows means partys hosted by valentino or chanel defiantly the chicest time of the year.
As we speak the paresinne ateliars are busy with fittings and finishing touches , fashionistas are being flown from all round the world to see the shows and to look great on the front rows and at the parties.
