"On Friday evening, we drove past the Tower of London and arrived at the stadium—I was so amazed by it. From a fashion perspective, I went for a total gold look. I am so honored and proud of this great island of Great Britain, and the opening ceremony lived up to all expectations; it was breathtaking. The Shire horses and the Kenneth Branagh parts were brilliant, and then Daniel Craig did his James Bond bit with Her Majesty—a perfect example of great British humor. And what history! I never thought I would be a sucker for an Olympic ceremony moment, but when the trees were raised from the ground as they stripped rural England and the floor was dismantled to reveal the Industrial Revolution (which started in England), I was so gripped.

Then came the Suffragettes (here to remind us all of the sacrifices that were made to change womens rights) before an homage to the sixties--Yellow Submarine! Sgt. Pepper's! I am a proud daughter. The Olympic rings floated over my head, and then exploded into a light show...

The section dedicated to the midwives made me think of my grandma Mary, who was Irish—she would have loved it. The NHS was represented as well as the Great Ormond Street Hospital, one of the most incredible children's hospital here in London. A very dear friend of mine's child just had a bone marrow transplant there. It's so important that they are being recognized in this ceremony, they deserve it!

Just when I thought designing the uniforms for Team GB was hard, imagine what working on the wardrobe for this ceremony must have been like?!

Suddenly it dawned on me that my dad was about to perform. I just looked over at him. "You're going to be down there soon!," I said. I was so proud.

My daughter was so happy to see Mary Poppins while I was getting a bit interactive by swinging my light paddle in the air—that was a good workout. There were lot of paper mache and velcro in da' house, and then Mr. Bean came in and the kids were completely engaged! I could see the torch was coming—and close behind it is none other than David Beckham. He did tell me he was a tad busy and would be late—a tad busy indeed!

I must admit, when Danny Boyle showed me the plans for this opening ceremony concept about a year ago, I had no idea how he would pull it off, but he did it brilliantly.  When, at last, Team GB came into the stadium, Chris Hoy was holding the flag; he is such an inspiration. Other favorites: The Blur moment was a stand out and the Arctic Monkeys basically rule, love the lead singer's Elvis rockabilly look—go Alex go! I had to rush out just before the end of Hey Jude in order to beat the traffic and do a good old fashioned runner. Our group (about 20 of us) caught a golf buggy and were dragging on its little electric engine. As we drove away, we saw that all the Olympians who had just walked around the stadium were now milling around. It was amazing to be surrounded by them and all mixed in together. A truly peaceful moment with everyone so happy, running with smiles and waving flags. It was quite different to anything that I had ever experienced. Everyone was high on pride and everyone had come together as one. The Olympics really do stand for something magnificent.

Last night all eyes were on Danny Boyles spectacular opening ceremony of the london games, which was a colorful, vibrant and totally amazing show which was quintessentially british and made me quite proud. The show was full with music, dance, lots of drums and lots of interesting and quite.... colorful outfits.
The show started in a peaceful green field which came to life with people and animals to create a scene of life that celebrated the heritage of britain. They were dressed in peasant period looks which were very victorian which really made the scene, then a great change came over the stadium the industrial age was here, a swarm of men came out dress in fine tailored looks and oversaw an amazing transformation! It was amazing how everything changed large chimneys arose from the ground thousands of people arose with there faces covered in black whilst this was happening an all mighty drumming was pounding thousands of drummers made an amazing sound which was lead by an eccentric grey haired woman wearing a very Bohemian Which look! The rings joined in a dazzling display and sparks did fly!
Then one of the most amazing things every happened JAMES BOND AND THE QUEEN!!! It was totes hilar!!!! First i thought is the queen actually going to be in this? Before she turned around I thought it was going to be David walliams but omg the queen was such a good sport actually being in that film! Then the cinematic (fake) entrance of the queen for a moment i thought the helicopter would land in the park then she jumped out and i relised oh thats not the queen thats a man it was so funny! The Queen looked stunning  wearing a decedent coral satin dress also with darling head piece, she looked marvelous! More laughs came when a british legend, Rowan Atkinson played his part on the keyboard to much laughs!
The piece that was dedicated to the NHS and british children's literature was so heart warming and really sweet. All those adorable kids jumping around there beds in there PJs looked like lots of fun! Then JK Rowling made an appearance which was fab she looked very chic in a oversized black blazer she looked fab and like the icon that she is! I smiled through most of this piece especially when many Mary Poppins flied down and saved the day, it was so sweet and so british really a marvelous part of the ceremony!
Then it was time for the musical spectacular that celebrate Britons history of music, film, fashion and technology!! I loved the selection of fab music all hits I really loved and all that "bogeying* was fantastic! Lots of colorful vibrant costumes also were very entertaining!
Im going to re wind a little till the parade of nations which featured many costumes some designed from fashion heavy weights such as Stella Mc Cartney,Giorgio Armani,Ralph Lauren and Salvatore ferragomo! But really everyone was talking about the more colorful vibrant and slightly strange! But im sure my readers have seen the ceremony as there were an estimate 1 billion people watching! So enjoy the pics it was really fab I thought it was truly the greatest show on earth!!!!  It simply made me proud to be british!

Everyone's fav first lady Michelle Obama is in london for the olympics, she cheered on Team USA wearing a very patriotic american flag inspired outfit and motivated the athletes with that darling first lady charm. Today she joined David Beckham to help celebrate the "lets move london" campaign, giving David a friendly high five wearing fresh blue white color blocked sporty look, there she also gave another fab speech and played some tennis. Cant wait to she more of michelle she will be at a state diner in Buckingham palace tonight and will also be attending the fab opening ceremony and may even cheer on the us team in some events :D  That will make for lots more fab outfits!
