Harrods jubilee  In honour of The Queen's Diamond Jubilee this year and the Victoria & Albert Museum's exhibition, Ballgowns: British Glamour since 1950, Harrods is set to unveil a pop-up ballgown boutique, exhibiting designs by some of fashion's biggest names - including Erdem, Nina Ricci,Roberto Cavalli and Valentino - in its famous Brompton Road windows.
"When asked to create a ballgown for Harrods to celebrate The Queen's Jubilee, we were extremely honoured - not only because Harrods is a British institution with a worldwide audience, but because we love and admire British culture and its capability of blending tradition with an innovative spirit," Valentino creative directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, said. "In our eyes, beauty and style is unique and personal, capable of arousing multiple emotions and attitudes. With this beautiful lace and tulle embroidered delicate ballgown, we feel that any woman could live a princess moment."
Remaining windows will feature a custom-built display of crowns (each of which is based on a replica of the St Edward's coronation crown), created by thirty-two leading labels including De Beers, Fabergé, Solange Azagury-Partridge and Theo Fennell.

Stella McCartney unveiled her Adidas Team GB kit for the London 2012 Olympics this morning in a show at the Tower of London.The collection was modelled by over 30 athletes - from basketball players and footballers to swimmers and paralympic sprinters. McCartney - who was there in person to present the kit - took her inspiration from the Union Jack flag, which adorned each look. Sequinned variations covered leotards, while printed versions came on T-shirts and jackets.
"The first place to start on a project like this is to look at the Union Jack flag," said McCartney

Johnny and me  KATE MOSS says that Johnny Depp was quite the gentleman when they dated in 1997, recalling how he used to insist that she always stayed with him at his grand hotel in Paris - rather than her own less glamorous city flat.
"When I was with Johnny Depp, he always stayed at the Ritz," said Moss. "I had an apartment in Paris at the time, but he said, 'No, we're staying at the Ritz,' so he came by and swept me up to the Ritz - he didn't want to slum it in my apartment!"

Baby boom!  Adriana Lima confirmed yesterday that she is expecting her second child with her Serbian basketball player husband Marko Jaric.
"Big news everyone!" the model Tweeted. "Marko and I are so happy to share some wonderful news with all of you! #ImPregnant."
Lima, who married Jaric in 2009, already has a daughter, Valentina, who is two. Her fellow Victoria's Secret Angels Lily Aldridge and Alessandra Ambrosio both confirmed they were expecting in January this year.
Erdem talking  Along with many of his designer peers, from Christopher Kane to Marc Jacobs, Erdem has been mooted for the Dior job but he refuses to be drawn into fashion's ongoing pressure on young designers to leave their labels and join established fashion houses.
"Anything like that is a compliment," the designer told us last night, "but you just have to concentrate on your job and what you're doing."
