The invite to the jean paul glutier show was a pice of litter which had urban street look that pretty much was what this collection was. Cool graffiti art was major in this collection it created that classic street look there were also vibrant colors which had the ethinic vibe. The collection was a fun mix of urban and tailored sleek, there were fab tailored suits,velvet gowns, sleek leather fab vibrant furs it was the two worlds meeting that was so interesting about this collection. You can clearly see this in several looks for example a black graffiti print dress worn with cute and tailored brown coat!!! There were a lot of great separates in this collection cute tailored jackets,fab print dresses,major vibrant furs and sleek velvet looks all very appealing to any customer including me!!! Probably one of my favorite and most wearble gultier collections i have seen in a while i mean i have never said i need that before at a gultier show now i want everything!!!!! especially those furs!!!!! So this collection was all about contrast which worked really well and am pleased to see what's next!!!
Commes des garçon is very well known for its unusual avant garde looks but these collections always had wearable pieces this collection took it to another level making it hard for me to see what the commes customer will be wearing next season. The collection was simple flat,wide,graphic and avant garde! Oversized shapes such as this isn't a look that every women is trying to make but and i dont understand how these looks will sell next season but it did make for a great show. Florals,solid blocked colors and graphic prints featured heavily in the collection which really made for in your face graphic look! The most wearable looks would have to be the jackets and shorts or the evening looks were you can look more avant garde but surely the comme customer next season will be a unusaul one.
Falling leaves was the inspiration for haider akermanns fall collection, it was very graceful,beautiful and had a more all round wearability factor. The collection featured romantic autumnal tones inspired y the falling leaves which is quite the poetic and beautiful graceful image. The collection was very wearable this time there were great coats in fabulous leather al ot of pants and simple dresses all with the haider spin also with genius craftsmanship almost at couture standards. i realy loved some of the seperate werable pieces first i died for the pants they were impecable tailored and are prefect edition to a womens wardrobe maybye good "work clothes", next was the leather jackets and coats which had cool biker details which really edged up the looks and are great items for fall, also the fabulously draped pinned pleat dresses which really defined and centered the waist these were great party dresses and are really so beutiful and graceful. The collection really did define the very feminine waist which draping and faulous peplum looks which we have seen so much of this season. So overall this collection was fabulously tailored to a couture standered had poetic and beutiful inspiration of falling leaves show in the colours and the mood of the show and to finish very wearable which makes more easy for the haider customer to wear th

"Thats what you call a fashion moment!" is what i said when the show had ended and albar begin to sing to the standing ovation of everyone it was like being at albars concert from the cheers and the smart phones lighting up in the air this was a sort of albar elbaz concert a anniversary concert were he sang all of his greatest hits draping,heavenly embellished jewels,the most fabulous party dresses!,body con peplum looks,color, fun , ruffles etc etc 10 years of alber elbaz lanvin magic all in one fabulous is a very fun and powerful image it certainly was the best 10 year old party i have ever seen!!! Before the collection there was much anticipation as the magical scene was set fabulous cakes star studded front row a classic evening Parisian show it was a party and a fashion show intertwined! Then the show started with bright and fun peplum looks giving the runway color and life and classic simple lanvin pieces which will cause madness amongst women to get before there all gone in a small moment, these are prefect staple pieces! Then there were the more fall like darker sexy black leather looks which were tailored and had fabulous furs and super sexy lion head belts this is wear the best jacket and outer wear was the simple black sleek chic pieces which will please the lanvin girl to see!!! The black leather skirts and jackets were super sexy and had a bad girl vibe!!!! Then it came to the fun glittering glamour!!! and a fabulous gold metallic black coat and pants were the opening piece of the next section then came the heart stopping totally major embellished jeweled dresses!!!! Which were such glamour statement pieces real show stoppers the lanvin girls love and dye to see!!!! Then it was the classic fun party lanvin girl which featured the dress not only one there were many dresses you stop and say this is THE DRESS there was the velvet short black and whit ruffled dress which was the star of the collection which screamed FUN PARTY LANVIN GIRL! The fabulous organza little black dresses also was the dress any girl would dye to get including me!! The collection finished with satin prints and lace pieces all with the waist defining peplum the collection fettered so much!!! The collection could only put a smile on your face it was a total fashion moment totally lanvin!!!! totally major and the best we have seen so far this paris! Out with the new and in with the classic and old why move forward when you could look back and still have so much fun!!

For the second time this paris fashion week the corporate women came out to play!!! We also had seen this women at balenciaga and now masion martin margiela has as always distorted the image of this women,this is a collection that made you think twice about what your looking at! The show opened with strong and powerful tailored suites with the hard and soft effect hard tailoring soft silk blouse, then there were the fabulous coats in black and camel very 90s corporate women unlike the 80s we have seen at balenciaga! There were mens style flats,blazers,and white shirts. Then there were the more confusing looks that covered the mouth!!! This is a threatening image in my eyes and i think it shows the women's threatning success and power!!! The collection finished with evening looks silk mismatched print gowns maybe resembling a mans tie and pleat un even skirts graphic and bold images. Collection created bold image and powerful menswear corporate women's looks!!!
Every Isabel Marant show there is always that young Parisian girl vibe even if she is wearing american teen ,american indian,Californian cool or this season western country girl clothes she still is so french. This season the marant girl was very sexy showing revealing but not to reviling clothes which had a virgin country girl feel. As always at a marant show there were fabulous pants and sexy short dresses this all appeals to that young and fabulous marant customer!!! There were very cow girl blouse with a floral print also prairie girl white lace pieces with had a sensual lingerie feel. The shoes were cut leather boots with a western print and there were no cow girl hats which made the girl more real and cool. There were lots of feminine ruffles. This girl was super sexy and super cool she really had a certain marant girl look which will be much in demand next season. My favorite pieces were the fabulous cropped pants,sweaters and super fabulous dresses that had studded embroidery!!!
This was bill gaytens second season for the house of dior the first time i wasn't persuaded but i am now a little more pleased with this latest collection. It is what i called toned down dior which is quite an unusual image as season after season galliano put on quite a dramatic theatrical show so in some ways this was a minimalist dior collection and it was all about going back to the DNA of the brand thats sound familiar??? BECAUSE HE DID THE SAME LAST SEASON!!!!!! The collection really focused on the waist to create that classic dior 50s style silhouette. There were fabulous pleats and cropped pants, the palette was quite neutral mostly blacks,greys,silvers,dull pinks,beige and some blue and pink which didn't even out the over boring like colors. I hated that the prints were a boring beige they had a certain elegance but i would simply have said "i think we need to lift it!!!!" but it may seem pleasing to a dior customer. Thats another thing was the collection to commercial the clothes were almost an accessories to the profit making ACCESSORIES which i found quite cute(not designed by bill!). The gowns were very ballerina like and had such a graceful movement!! The shoes also had a ballerina look. The pleat gowns and bows were my favorite aspects but still need to be "LIFTED" i hope the rumors of bill signing 6 year contract are not true because this brand needs more of a leader to lead this brand!!! Raf or stefano would be prefect!!!! Diors future is still the most talked about thing in the fashion world and this collection ask the question sales or fashion+sales because at the moment this was a very commercial collection and something you wont find in major editorials or worn by any fashionistas but will be bought by rich women who don't really stand out they just look expensive also will appeal to major asian market!!
