The whole fashion world is buzzing today over this Rag&Bone collection its got the big headlines on all the fashion website's and is also on the cover of WWD so this collection was major highlight which I disagree with I thought Jason wu was! Not to say this rag and bone collection is bad its not its so so major but jason wu had a very strong image that was captivating there was a story,major accessories and most importantly those gowns at the end! So I feel weird towards this collection just becase of that! But I think thats just due to my asetetic a show like Wu is slightly more me than Rag&Bone which sounds so stupid because this collection Is so so so so fab and it sounds like im saying its not for me which it totes is just the whole look at jason wu I found numbing!
Ok so lets start on this major collection I believe it was inspired by the racing track which I think is fab sporty inspiration for spring! Omg firstly before anything else my new fav spring 13 color is no longer yellow thanks to rag and bone Im IN LOVE WITH GREEN!!!! omg the green items were just so beyond!!! the tone was slightly acidic and with the fab whites it was perfection and an explosion of coolness! Really this collection is so beyond cool there is no fab fashion adjective to describe it so I will be using beyond because its just omg so beyond!!!! The first looks looked like somthing an engineer would wear it was such a cool take on that look! The sporty touches in this collection were so major those super cool whites major vibrant blues it was so fab and the look was somthing new and so cool I really just want to see people wear oversized 50s like shirts with cute short flare skirts can that please be the new look! So greens were the majorest but how fab were the blue items especially the leather ones!!! There were real cool high tech techniques used her like acidic green leather lace skirts and jackets its the coolest take on lace ive seen so far in an nyfw full of lace! Loved this green and black look which was woven or somthing cool like that, really looked so beautiful! Finally dyed for the last hooded looks they were very fresh cool and i think so major for spring especially the one worn by karlie kloss #TOTESAMAZE. Overall the coolest collection of nyfw so far, interesting shapes,fabrics and techniques all to create one beyond cool collection! Apologize for some passionate outburst like my cray love for the green in this collection its just you know beyond cool and I really love but dont forget not as much as wu ;) Which one did you prefer? Sunos latest collection is another tapestry of fab prints all infused together in one major collection! Florals were the dominant print in this collection and there were plenty! They were very soft and were mainly in a fab satin fabric which made them shine beautifully! I liked them though prints where not my fav thing in this collection I was really in love with the silhouettes and just the look of the show! A show like suno can be hard to talk about in this form I remember last season I was puzzled for words when it came to the show report and I just said a lot of crap I feel like im doing the same here! Though did die for the collection suno is a new and original brand and this season I really loved all the beautiful dresses and fab satin glossy coral pieces so major! It was soft feminine and really a beautiful image which has become such a signature of the new brand and I love how every season they develop on there look and make it fab for us all to watch ..... and shop!
Helmut lang the brand which is best known for its cool downtown look was so totes better this season! At the end of this Helmut Lang collection I said "I loved that" it was so much more cool and fashionable and really got the cool downtown look right with a new sporty edge and some fab prints to! The show opened with a cool sporty looked which looked fun casual and just really cool! Educational Note: I will prob say cool about 500 times in this collection! Last season I was saying cool to much times in my show reports so looked up cool in thesaurus and found nothing so cool is all you get! So I dyed for the cool sporty dresses with sheer and leather touches oh and I loved the cool leather jackets and major cool sporty shorts! The prints were worked so well in this collection it was a sort of bohemian floral and was so fab on the dresses in this collection I preferred the blue print to the other one in a sort of orange tone! The overall look was OMG TOTES COOL! this was also my reaction to the totes cool model walk which was totes downtown relaxed hands in pocket look DIE FOR IT! and died for movement of all the dresses and major shorts etc! So overall thought it was really cool fab and the best ive seen from the helmut lang duo its gone from that jacket good be a cute work look to omg that is a major cool look for that fab downtown girl! Its really just a new cool attitude and I love attitude!
Cushnie Et Ochs is for sure one of the coolest up in coming designers and this season was another fab show for them! The collection was very sharp and minimalist due to the fab signature cut outs of the design duo but this season the sharp cut outs were not the only main feature of the collection this season they played with draping and a more relaxed summer looks! They delivered very clean sharp and fresh pallet made up of White, Blue, and black with a few dark purple outfits! The show opened with a white wash of looks all very minimlist and relexed showing cool midriffs and slits in the skirts for fab movement also there were some very cool bikinis with a cool cushnie cut out! Then there were the aqua blue dresses more tailored constructed and minimalist! Two satin purple dresses were also in the collection which were darker tones and maybe better for evening plus they would look major fashion forward! Finally a series of black looks featuring sheer and draped looks along with the strong construction and cool cut outs! Overall I think it was cool minimalist perfect for spring/summer and as always had that fashion forward edge!
Charlotte Ronsons spring collection was summer in the city! Bright vibrant cool pieaces for the cool woman on the go having fun and looking fab whilst doing so! The collection was fabulously bright showing major yellows,blues and fab pastel greens along with cute simple nudes and prints! The collections is a great simple spring/summer wardrobe and is really cute and fun! Everything is perfect for that cool preppy girl!
This season Jason Wu took the more naughtier approach! The collection according to tim blanks "50 Shades of wu" which I think fabulously describes this collection as its all about sex and beauty something we have not seen from Wu yet! Helmet Newton was the inspiration for this collection and it could be seen in every essence of the runway looks the hair omg the hair was so major this fabulous chic bold twist it was so sleek so chic and was stunning! Then there was the strong lip and pale face I loved seeing this look again as it is so strong and really beautiful and that really Helmut Newton way! Looking at this jason wu collection it clearly is similar to the photographs of helmut newton a dark sexual chic look! Really my phrase for this collection would be, "Sex in its Chicest form!"
37 year old Carolyn Murphy opened the collection in a sexy leather look which was really just so fab(love vetren runway appearances) Leather was a major theme throught! There were sexy leather harnesses,dresses,pants, skirts etc! I loved how this very strong sexy fabric was mixed with very Wu looks like a fab pink lace dress was made very more helmut and sexy with a leather harness! The first time I felt sex was when the most seductive fab sheer bra to came of with a leather skirt in a lingerie lace style it screamed everything about this collection, CHIC!,HELMUT!,SEX!
The sheer organza fabulously tailored jackets in black and white where certainly the some of the best pieaces in this collection, they had such craftsmanship and such allure but also with a little contrast! The collection was also about contrast it was pretty things put with something more sexy and dark to great a fab and original look! Really elegance meets sex!!! The accesories in this collection were some of wu's best fabulously commercial and yet so chic! Firstly I died for the sheer black shoes I thought they were so sexy and chic! Then there were the very strong commercial black leather pumps similar to the ones shown at fall! Loved the bags especially the round cases and the leopard skin and white ones! Also the seductive sheer gloves and headpieces played fabulously to the theatrics of the fab show!
Finally there were the final gowns which I deemed CHIFFON HEAVEN! They moved to perfection, they glimmered perfectly in the light with there stunning crystals! It was just such chiffon heaven!!!!
Lace,leather,organza,chiffon were all infused in the most fab ways and created absolutely stunning looks which were both reminiscent of Wu classic and of mainly Helmut Newton this fab contrast created a chic and elegance sexual image with inthralled me!
Peter Soms collection opened the second day of nyfw on a very pretty note! The collection was filled with pretty pinks,pastel blues, elegant midriffs , ladylike lace, adorable knits , glimmering floral embellishments and lots of peter som florals! I think collection was really ladylike and pretty with a chic spring/summer twist! The showed opened with light pinks and florals with fab tweed items and cute playful dresses in blues and pinks which I really died for! In my show notes I wrote "Love the shorts" they were knee length and wide they had a relaxed less polished attitude to them which I lik in contrast to the ladylike looks! Then there were the flowing silk printed pieces which i found to be cool and quite bohemian also another cool feature to this collection was the graphic multi color and multi textural looks! The start of the collection was a pretty elegant ladylike look and as the collection progressed became more bohemian and cool but still with a polished elegance especially when it came to the metallic leopard print which I think looked fab and cool! The final looks of the collection were fab satin embellished pieces which brought back the lady to the collection. Overall was super fab contrast and there are a fab variety of great pieces for spring!
Nyfw is now in full swing and so are the fab fashionable new york fashion week parties! See what the fab stars wore to the early nyfw events including some madison avenue store openings, a lunch and awards show! Expect much more cool after parties of the week!
Last night was Fashions Night out one major global shopping event which attended by fashionistas, celebrities ,designers and all other fashion elite!!! New york london and paris shops were brought to life with parties,appearances and lots of shoppers from 6pm-10pm #4HoursOfFashionHeaven! Nyc was surly the biggest party!!
